Reproduction front fenders

I am trying to decide weather to spend a bunch of money to get my original 1928-29 front fenders repaired or buy new ones.

Has anyone recently purchased 28-29 front fenders? (no wheel well).

How did they fit? How much work were they to make fit?

Where did you buy them? Are all the new front fenders on the market all made by the same company? Which one is best?

Thank you.

I bought them some years ago for my 29 roadster and they fit fine with very little tweeking. For some reason the 28/29 fenders are easier to fit than the 30/31s.

1928-29 front fenders are not all that bad. Their dies are not nearly as worn. It is the 31 fenders (which includes the 30's also) that are not fitting that well. Same manufacturer if they are purchased new.

.

How about those who bought 1930 fenders how much work was involved to make them fit. Don't know what to do just by new ones or ............ ?

I don't know why, but there seems to be a lot more decent originals available for the 28-29's than 30-31's. I would shop around and go that route, personally.
