Have a courier that need a bunch of sheet metal. Worst spots are the quarters and doors. Bought one piece from Macs and it seems to fit well. Before I buy more what is the consences of the best repo sheet metal?

Thanks will look at them. I see that the picece I got from MACS was made by Ecklers. Anyone dealt with there stuff. The one I have seems to fit good but does not have the edge crimp. Another question, with the crimp is there a chance that moisture can get in after it is welded on and create rust down the line? I can see that only the outside could be welded but the inside would not leaving a opening for moisture to enter. Thanks for any info.

EMS all the way.

Plus they have a pretty cool wagon on the cover of their catalog.HRP

make sure you use a weld thru primer on the back side also you could use panel adhesive it will seal the seam as it dries and spreads out

22 years ago, I cut off much of the bottom of this badly rotted '55 Courier including rear quarters, inner and outer rocker panels, all the floor panels and floor risers and bought mostly cheapo repro panels. I ended up regretting that. EMS appears to have the best quality and acceptable metal thickness.
I suggest not using the tall rear quarter panels if you can help it. The shorter version available is cut below the taillight.
I used a very cheap pneumatic metal flanging tool from harbor freight for all my seams and it was the best investment I ever made in auto body repair tools.
After all welding is finished, try to get behind the weld seams and brush in some sealer into the seams. I brushed in self-sealing primer, then overcoat, then on top of that, I caulked the seams with 3M Fast-n-Firm.
I did not cut off the bottom of my doors, but cut out and made patches to weld in. EMS makes both inner and outer bottom of door patch panels that appear of real good quality.

Used EMS for the front pans and cheapos for the rear....major mistake. The rears took twice as long to get in and the fit was crappy! Spend the money, best out there!
