replacing pinion seal

I want to replace the pinion seal in my 57 Ford Ranchero. Are there any special procedures to follow? If I remove the large nut, tap off the yoke, pull out the old seal and install the new one, can I then just replace the yoke and torque. Is there any other specs or settings I need to do, Sorry if I am asking a dumb question, I just don't want to screw anything up when doing this.Does anyone have the correct torque to tighten back up?
Thanks for any step by step you can offer.

check for a grove in on the yoke where the seal lip rides, if there is one you will need to buy the repair sleeve, around $10 12 at most auto parts stores, when installing it make sure it starts absolutely straight or you will be buying another one, oil the lip of the seal and yoke before putting it back together, most seal lips are neoprene and will melt from the friction of the yoke if not lubed, #100 torque is more than enough

Use a center punch to mark the nut and the yoke. Remove the yoke and do your work, then replace the nut to a bit past where the mark is.
