Replacing driver side door lock on 1935 Ford Pickup

I must be getting old, because I am getting a little jittery undertaking this seemingly straightforward task. I have everything disconnected I believe. Three screws at the triangular inside end and 4-5 on the lock itself at the other end, on the inside and the ones on the door edge where the tongue sticks out and latches. (I may be off on the screw count, but I do not have the lock in hand to be exact.)

Everything is still "tighter than Dicks Hatband", as my Daddy used to say. I can't get anything to budge. I am, however, beginning to get "weaker than cat pee", to use another one of Dad's gems.

Maybe in the intervening 90 years since installation a little rust has accumulated and is prohibiting movement. I'll use some gentle judicious tapping with a small hammer and see if that will do the trick.

There does not appear to be any hidden springs that I should be aware of but it never hurts to ask.

All hints, suggestions and forewarnings greatly appreciated.

The window regulator might have to be disconnected from the window glass channel and window removed ,all this to get the latch assy out. Have you removed the outside door handle?

Here are pic of what the latches look like out of the PU. These sold Nov 16 on Ebay for $125.
The upper latch in first 2 pics is the drivers side .The latch springs in 2nd pic are clearly visible.

In the 4th pic shows clearly the dogleg spring on the remote.
