I am trying to remove the locking Cylinder from 1934 Ford steering column drop. The Cylinder has a small pin that work the switch on the back of column drop. I need to remove the pin to remove the locking cylinder. How is the pin installed is press in or screwed in? Any ideas. I have pic sorry that is blurred but still shows the pin. Thanks for all the help.

to remove the cylinder you have to remove the small pin under the cylinder. If you drill with a #29 drill you can tap the hole for a #8 set screw to hold the new cylinder in place. The old pin is only about 1/8" long
