On my '39 PU I drove out the center shaft (Not difficult). Cut the housing of the bushing with a hacksaw (Not difficult) Used a center punch to collapse the bushing at the point where the hacksaw cut the bushing (Not difficult) Drove the collapsed bushing out (easy). Put the axle housing on a press and pressed in the new factory type shackle bushings(DIFFICULT). New rubber type bushings would have been much easier.
