I did it a long, long time ago - in the late 80s.lI think. Removed the stock flattie and 3-speed and then later installed a 350/350 combo. Engine hoist hook was more to the back of the engine, no radiator installed, most accessories off the motor. The tail of the T350 was just high enough foe me to get close, pick up and and swing the tailshaft in whole pulling the hoist towards the car. I was about 38 or so and I was n pretty good shape to do it. Once the motor and trans were in the engine bay I used my floor jack under the tail shaft of the ****** to pull the combo back as I jockeyed it into position. Wishbones were split and the T350 trans mount was not yet bolted in and the wishbones were spread out .....
These days it’s easier to leave the hood on but pull off the nose imho ...... too old to attempt this now! Lol!
