reinstalling all mechanisms inside door...

I am totally rebuilding '40 coupe. should all mechanisms and glass be reinstalled in the doors while doors are laying or while the doors are hanging on car hinges?

I think you will find the setting the glass correctly in the door will be easier with the doors hung.
