The info Pete supplied is outdated. They're located at Chiriaco Summit now, 30 miles east of Palm Springs. The phone number is the same.

Victor runs it now and is active in the old ford scene. Keep trying!

They are or were in Chiriaco Summit which is about in the middle of nowhere in the CA desert. There is Patton's Tank Museum there, because that's where they trained the WWII tanks. An airport, with no airplanes, a gas station and most important place, a Foster Freeze and that's about it. I used to have to fill up the gas tanks on the phone company trucks there on my way back to the San Bernardino yard. The whole place will fit into a city block. It gets incredibly, brutally, nasty hot there. I always wondered why anybody would move a business there even if the building and land were free. Look it up on an aerial map, it looks like a picture of the Mars with a few buildings.

Just like everything, there's always a history, and the Chiriaco Summit history is interesting! There's also a decent collection of early Fords, and Red's Headers which are manufactured at the Summit. If you stop in the winter, you'll actually see some interesting planes there! Some are passing through and stop for a rest, some getting their $100 hamburger!.

And while you're out there in the desert, get a Date Shake for dessert!

"Date shakes are basically a creamy milkshake made with dates! They originated in Southern California, specifically the Palm Springs region where date palms grow abundantly."
