red light on '48 Merc Speedo

I recently became the owner of a 1948 Merc Survivor. Its mostly original but obviously has had a few people fixing it over the years.

The speedometer has 3 little light bulbs that snap into the back ---I need help figuring out one of them.

Light on the bottom of the speedo is for dash lights
One red one on top is the High Beam Indicator.

****What is the other Red Indicator Light for?

Any help in solving this puzzle will be much appreciated

maybe turn signal. I had 2 tiny holes ,one on each side of our '41 speeedo. never figured what they were for

If one of the top red lights is activated by your high beam switch, what is activating the 2nd indicator light? Do both of the lights come on with the high beam switch? Or is the 2nd light being activated by the light switch? I had a '49 Merc convertible that had an Emergency Brake Light indicator.

Thx for the ideas Pat/Ohio

The Mystery Light comes ON with the parking lights, and is OFF with headlights. Seems to dim with the dim/brightness control.

Got some help from a guy who has had several of these vintage cars. He explained that 46-48 Mercs had an option for Turn Signals (Dealer Installed), and that red light next to the 60 was the turn signal indicator. It blinked when you were turning either direction.

Makes sense to me. Thank you everyone for your help and input
