Recommendations for resurfacing Johnsons

Andy, closer to home, you might call Duffin's, over by the airport. I was in there one day and they were rebuilding a V-12. Holler at me if you come to town and maybe I can meet you at Rudy's or Longhorn. Lou

I used Delta Camshaft in Tacoma, Washington to do mine.
About five years ago, the cost was $3.50 per as I recall.
That was for refacing both the bottom and the top of the
adjusting screw.

I had disastrous luck with Duffin's. They rebuilt my flathead but did not clean the crank. The Merc crank oil holes were completly pluged and the rod journal cavities were full of crud. They put the rods in backwards and did not put in the new cam bearings I furnished. The bill was three times the agreed price. I would not take a dead cat to Duffin's.
Lunch sounds great. See you soon!

Andy, I had no idea they did that sort of work. I guess they were too busy working on the Corvette for Bonneville. Sorry, but thanks for the clarification.

I sent mine out to Mike Herman at H&H Flatheads. I am pleased with his work. He did a good job grinding the lifters at a fair price.
