recommendation on a tachometer on 1936 ford flathead

Hi Lawson; A lot of us know you're a good guy. Your post may read a little abrupt to some just because you kept your sentences short. You and I used to correct each others grammar on occasion, in good humor, but I'll let this one go. (grin) Craig.

don't correct my grammar, I got a D in English. and thank goodness for my spell check!

Yes, I too am thankful for the spell check. I'll try to be more careful with the wording in my posts. I don't mean to be impolite to anyone.

I bought the Westach unit and going to install this weekend. One wire goes to ground....understood. The other wire goes to distributor side of the coil ? It's a '40 85 HP. Is that the wire on top of coil helmut ?

Thx....Mike

If you have the original divers helmet style distributor, attach it to the tang that holds the condenser.
