Recently Purchased 1936 Ford Pickup

Some folks had asked for pictures of the truck I recently bought on a thread I had about removing the oil pan. Figured I would post them up here to keep the threads clean and easy to follow!

This truck I got from a guy that has own a body shop for years nearby that my dad has known for a long time. He found this truck in a barn down in Kentucky, and it had been in there since the late 60's. It's in pretty damn good shape and looks to be pretty much all original except someone way back when converted it over to hydraulic brakes.

What a beauty! You're truly fortunate to find a truck that's so original and in such good shape. If it was mine, I'd make it safe and reliable, then drive the wheels off of it. Enjoy!

have almost identical story of my 1935 pickup, I agree with others make it safe, check out bob drakes "1936 ford convertible project" on google I'm following his outline if you like it I can give you advise on t5 transmission swap and removal of bracket in x member enjoy the ride rick

Nice find there. I also have a stock original barn find 1935. I originally planned to street rod it but could not find myself modifying this time capsule any. Plans are to get the V8 running and make it reliable to make short road trips.
