Recalled oil pump

How many have seen the oil pump on the left? According to the Service Letters, the dealers were told to replace it when a car came in for Service. Must be an unadvertised recall.

The early pump was replaced in service because the newer pumps had a larger bore and the new shafts installed in the old pump restricted oil flow

It's the very early oil pump; when checking out the engine on A1276 this early pump was still place; when I had the engine rebuilt I had it replaced. The engine only had a little over 25,000 original miles, .0005 Ford pistons, center lock wrist pins, etc. The vehicle was purchased new from the Ford Dealer in Oroville, CA.
