Rebuilt steering box?????

The 29 2-tooth column looks similar to the 7-tooth one except the column is clamped to the steering box instead of being welded to it.The 29 S-wheel is keyed to the2-tooth shaft & splined to the 7-tooth shaft.

Thanks guys. That explains why my 29 coupe has a 2 tooth column.

Looks like I hi-jacked this thread.

But have another question. On this coupe (which someone else rebuilt), the horn/light shaft sticks out beyond the steering wheel about 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Is that because they put in the wrong horn/light switch shaft???

The 2-tooth 29 light switch rod is 3/4'' shorter than the 28-29 7-tooth LS rod.
