Rebuilt Model A Engine: What do I have?

About blocks that are sleeved:

For a number of years H&H (in LA ?) would re-sleeve EVERY engine.

Maybe they found a railroad car full of Standard pistons and rings!

ADP = Additional Dealer Profit.

One guy told me that they re-sleeved them whether they needed it or not!

Sure, it makes sense if you are a re-man business, bore to a single size on them all. Not so much when the supply of blocks is limited, and saving a motor is the priority. I have worked on race motors with 3 different sized bores, you do only what you have to keep it sealed up.
