Rear window screw size for open vehicle

I want to confirm the size and length of the screws used on the rear window frame of open vehicles - namely a 1929 phaeton. I believe they are 5-40 3/8" long. If the screws are too long, they could damage the other side of the frame. If someone could confirm the size or correct me, I would appreciate it.

The Sport/Business Coupe frames are 5-40 so there is a good chance that they all are. Screws and taps of that size are available even though they are not as common as 4-40 sizes.
