Don thanks for the response. The door that I took off the car had a lot of putty in it. I found a nice door but the wood was bad. So I took the old door off and dismantled it so that I could use the wood in the replacement door. It has a metal panel with crank. I took the window all the way to the top sill and had to bend the metal channel that the felt slides in to get the glass out. I guess my question is do you have to slide the new felt into the metal the channel, and then tilt the window from top of the felt into the channel, and then glue the felt. After the window glass is in place there are some counter sunk screws at top and bottom of the felt to reinstall the panel with crank mechanism. Does that sound about right?
Do you still have that butter nickel dash panel?
Thanks
