Is there a way of pulling the rear hubs with out a commercial puller ,I noticed there's a reases on the early hubs that could be gripped on . who repops ,sells a puller ? Thanks Ted
Sometimes you can loosen up the axle nut just a little and drive it around the block
turning the steering wheel back and forth and it will loosen up. You can also thread a
chunk of round stock to screw on to the axle and pull back on the wheel and hit
the round stock with a big hammer to pop it off. Do both it might work, it has worked for me in a pinch.
Otherwise you need the proper puller.
