Rear Wheel Clearance

I am considering swapping out the rear wheels and tires on my 46 to 16 x 6 wheels and Diamondback 750R16 tires. Although it appears that there shouldn't be any clearance issues nevertheless I wanted to check with anyone who is running with this size tire and wheel. Many thanks.

Check the wheel offset to make sure they are not offset too much to the inside or outside. If you have the original shocks too much offset to the inside will damage the tire. The shock arm will make contact with the sidewall and dig a grove into it. Had this happen years ago when I had a 39 coupe and went to 15"X5 1/2" rims on the rear. Rims had too much offset to the backside.

Thanks TJ. I have the original style shocks so that is something I will need to look into. The wheels I am looking at have a 3.75" backspace.
