Rear Wheel Bearings - shims?

I had new drums/studs mated to my old hubs. I got my old bearings back as well as these pieces in the photo. One is slightly thicker than the other. I have new bearings and seals to install but wondering if I need to re-install these pieces somehow.

Hello, on mine there were no shims as you mentioned, just the large diameter bearing that rides between axle and hub , a seal that goes on inner side against the bearing and a retaining clip that fits in a groove in the hub. Hopefully get more posts .Note the large bearing has been a source of earlier posts with the repro ones being a item of criticism. Also on mine the brakes have been converted to hydraulic so rear hubs been changed from original.

Thanks guys. I will see if the guy that did the work remembers where they came from. If he doesn't, I will assemble just the bearings, seals and lockrings.
