rear wheel bearings position

Like to see your vieuws here, dropping the rear wheel bearing is easy, but how far should I press the seal down ? Snug up to the bearing ? or just let the bearing float a bit ( to find his own position ) The axle lobes are perfectly round and not pitted. Also very close to new size.

Just enough to get the snap ring in.You don't want the seal to be a thrust surface forced against the bearing.
