Rear Step Plate Bracket Attachment Hardware

Early to Mid 1929 Coupe Step Plate Bracket Hardware before they attached the square step plate to bumper bracket.

Looking for the correct hardware to attach the step plate bracket to the rear crossmember and to the bolt that holds the rear fender bracket. The hole in the rear crossmember is approximately 5/8 inch diameter and the corresponding hole in the bracket is approximately 3/8 so apparently a flat washer was used. I could not find the specs for the flat washer bolt, washer, lock?, and nut that was used.

Also the bolt that holds the rear fender bracket that now must pass through the step plate bracket. Does anyone have the specs on this fastener.

Could not find this info in hardware book or JS.

Would really appreciate your help - Thanks - Hunter

Interesting scenario Hunter, any pictures to add would sure help us, to help you! I have the same (?) bracket for my 28, but have never put it on. Jim

Here is the requested picture. Looking for the hardware specs to attach this properly to the car.

Thanks - Hunter

Being as nobody else has stepped in, I'll add what I can for what it's worth. Here's some pictures of a bracket I've had for some time and the middle mounting bolt, etc. that I'm guessing is original and was placed there when the bracket was removed - no original lock washer - likely broke when removed or else never used one (?). Hope this helps some - sorry can't add anything as far as the end bolt goes.

Yes, that's the same bracket I've got, never been installed on my car! The more I hear about rear enders, I don't want my grandchildren back there. Never did finish the rumble upholstery, maybe I'll change it into a trunk.....
