Rear Radius Rod Strengthening

Pete, I like your simple solution. Do those rear mounts bolt to the backing plate as the stock arms do?
And thanks to everyone for you suggestions and encouragement.

Mollydog

Yes, they are made from 1/4 inch plate.
This setup will work with an 8 or 9 inch Ford rear end also as many have done.

Back in the days when I thought I was Archie, but really was Jughead, my friend and I installed small block Chevy's in our Fords; his a 40 coupe, and mine a 37 coupe. I changed the rear end and used radius rods off of a Buick (as my brain tries to recall) that had coil springs on the rear. The rods attached to the sides of the frame. However, mollydog probably wants to stay as near to original as possible. This post should likely have been place elsewhere; I ask for forgiveness for posting it, and mutilating my 37 Ford.
