drolston Well-known member May 10, 2018 #4 Same as motor mounts on my '41. '42 - '48 use a whole different type of transmission rear mount. I cinch both front and rear mounts very tight on my coupe. Not sure if it is real benefit, but I never have a clutch chatter problem.
