Rear Monoleaf spring in a '36

I put a monoleaf spring in the front of my 36 coupe and it worked well , same as the ones I've used on other cars. Has anyone used one in the rear, preferrably in a '36? If so, any problems with fit , ride height, installation etc etc? Thanks!:)

Easy to install on my 37. Same for yours. You have adjustable ride heights if you use a posies superslide. That's what is on mine. I didn't use the higher setting on my setup.

First pic is with a lowered front axle and stock rear springs.
Second is with a monoleaf rear

VERY cool coupe! The monoleaf is adjustable as well with the spacers, right? ......same as the front? I like the mononleaf because there's NO spring bind with it. Posie's has some bind even with the sliders in there I'd think. So, you have a posie spring in yours now ? ( according to what you say in your comment) Thanks!

Been a while since install but I believe both the leaf and spacers are the option to raise it. Check with the supplier. Be prepared. Your rear ride will be alittle more choppy. Not bad though. I'd install it again if I had the choice. Thanks for the compliment.

I have a rear mono in my 40 coupe. I always think in the back of my mind "is this bump gonna brake my spring" I'm thinking about going parallel leafs or a stronger lower set of springs for the rear. Very bouncy too, if I keep it I'm gonna have to go to a stronger shock. I love the look as far as stance goes but cringe driving!
Just my opinion but I think it was a mistake on my part.
PS. I used a magnum rear mono leaf. Easy install!

Eaton is talking about parallel leaf springs. In the old Fords with original axles if a monoleaf breaks the body just ends up bottoming out, neither axle is going anyplace because of the wishbones. I have monoleafs in a '36 sedan and '36 5 window, front and rear. They work great, especially for getting the ride height that you want. Rod

My question is : is it possible for the main leaf in a multi leaf spring to break? I have certainly seen a lot of the smaller leafs break thru the years.
