Looks like the bearing surface is tight in some spots and no contact in others.Bad alignment.
The oil groove isn't suppose to end up outside the bearing surface. The way it is cut is allowing the oil away from the crank journal.

I agree with Herm and J&M, you got lots of problems. Not only is the babbitt not cut correctly and the groove wrong, someone has removed the slinger AND the thrust to the size of the new seal surface. I hate to say it but your main and crank system is toast and will never work or seal properly.

To add what Mr. J & M Machine said, there also isn't any oil wells as should be. That means that with out the right grooving and oil wells the bearing is starved for oil and will take care of its own problem by opening it's clearance up for more oil and will in turn pump more oil to the rear seal, or slinger, and you can't shut it down with out fixing it the way it should have been in the first place.

I must have missed your end play amount, as new in 3 to 4 thousandths.

Also the rear main bolts and shims should have a coat of sealer on them or they can also cause a very large leak.

If there is to be any fix to what you have, the motor will have to be pulled.

Herm.
