rear main oil leak

Yes it is painted red. And very clean.

I thought so...Don't bother trying to find the builder it'll be a waste of time and money. Stick with Schwalms or James Rogers since they're nearest you. Hopefully the original machinist didn't ruin the block beyond all hope of repair. If he did, James probably has good engines in stock now at reasonable prices.

Pat, what's the story behind the red paint and why would it be a waste of time contacting the original builder? Inquiring minds want to know!!

rear main janitor A6768 $20 from snyders/brattons etc saves dumping the oil on your own driveway and dumps it instead over the first bump on the roadway, stops wife moaning whilst you save up towrds fixing the darn thing properly

You can leave these attached? I did not think they could be left in place while driving.

I just returned one of these to a customer to use as a pencil holder or match holder or something of that nature. His new motor doesn't leak and this is not necessary anymore and, yes, he was using it while driving.;)
