rear main oil leak

I was told that there was a way to stop the rear main oil leak by cutting a groove in the babbitt on the lower half and drilling a hole in the groove to drain the oil back into the crankcase. Does anyone have the plans for this procedure?

Post this question in the appropiate area ( early V8 or late V8) under the general discussion. :)

This is not the place to ask technical questions about repair. You have asked 2 times now. Both times you have be directed to ask in the V8 section (which may or may not be correct as you don't state what year you are working on). If this is a Ford question ask in the proper forum (Model T, Model A, early or late V8).
