The rear axle sleeve is in bad shape and needs to be replaced, I see that venders sell a "rear hub repair kit". It includes sleeve and bearing, but how do you go about removing the old sleeve. thanks
The bearing race on the axle housing is part of the original housing. It is not a separate part and not removable. The repair kit requires the old bearing race be machined down to allow the new bearing race be pressed on.
I have done a few of these and they worked well.
