Rear end install

I installed a new leaf spring on my rear end and when I install back in car the driver side wheel is out further than passenger side. It’s around 1.5” difference.
I am pretty sure, I am getting bolt in square hole on frame cross member.
Could bolt holding spring pack be off? It looks centered.
I did not check the reveal on wheels before I replaced spring.
Any tips for installing rear end. I am thinking about reinstalling old spring see how it looks.
Thanks

"Pretty sure" you have the bolt head in the cross member hole? Make certain it's seated correctly, then measure the wheel offsets from the frame rails, not the fender edges. Could be your body is not square on the frame or your fenders curvatures have been reworked over the years.

After fighting with the leaf spring, I thought I had it, wheels were pretty equal on both sides so, I let it down and now it was leaning hard to the drivers side, ugh…. I pulled it all back out, took of new spring and in put old one back in and wheels are equal on both sides and sits level. I guess OG parts are the best or that spring has been on there for 94 years and fits that car. Oh well glad it’s back on and I can move on with next project.

Spring shackles were loose. I tried them tight and loose. No difference. I even put the center bolt from old spring pack into the new spring because new spring pack bolt head was way too big to fit in cross member hole. I am going to give the manufacture a call about the new spring and see what he has to say. To me it almost looked like the center bolt was not straight.
