Rear Door bumpers ?

The Murray Fordor had two unusual rubber bumpers not offered in any of the usual supplier's listings. There is one under the curved part of each of the rear doors. They are about an inch wide, shaped like an L, and with a round protrusion on the back for mounting in a round hole recess. Anybody have an idea on how to replace these simpler than cutting up a raw rubber block? Thanks, FordBarners. Rancho

I learned something new!!! When I did the '29 155-A 25+ years ago I found the remains of a round rubber so I made some. I never realized they introduced a "new and improved" bumper in mid '30. It's very similar to Roadster/Phaeton door bumpers but I'm betting the off-set is greater. Maybe with this pic someone can suggest something that can be modified. If you can offer the critical dimensions it may be helpful.

Off subject slightly, I needed a slight "lift" to the back of my "29 coupe doors. Trimmed a deck lid bumper stop, stuck it to the bottom of the "A" post with a dab of black silicone rubber and it worked perfectly! (I know, I know, I did it WRONG, but------) Bill W.

Marco, thanks. The item looks like what you posted and yours is labeled for the 165-C. Any idea where to get some? Here's dimensions and a photo. Thanks, Rancho

A place called "METRO RUBBER" in the Twin Cities has lots of different rubber parts. Check to see if they have a website and what they offer.
