Rear bumper brackets / trunk rack extension

I am attempting to install my trunk rack with extensions. If I am looking at the instructions correctly, it appears that the bumper brackets are installed backwards. Mine have the rounded section for the bumper end bolt.facing inward. The instruction sheet shows it facing outward.

1). Is the sheet correct?

2). Do I simply remove the bracket and flip it over?

3). Or do I switch the current right for the left...?

Yes, you need to swap bumper sides.
