I have ran a search on this forum and could not find any info. I am sure it is here somewhere it just seems like I am not entering the correct keywords...
I have a 30 "a" with hydro brakes that I am rebuilding the whole system. I have everything on except the left rear drum. When I put it on at first everything is good. When I torque the axle nut, the drum/axle locks up, I am guessing against the backing plate. I did notice the rear spring is up against the wheel cyl lower bolt. There is a wear spot on top of the backing plate where the drum hits it. There is also a shim between the axle and hub but the axle and the shim seem pretty beat up.
How can I move the drum out?
Can I trim off the drum lip?
Thanks
