what is the best rear brake drum puller??. I had one that i lent out but never got it back. I only used it once, it was in a nice wooden box cant remember the brand name, would like to get another one, thanks stan white.

Vintage precision, hands down!!! THE best V8 Ford specific tool I have ever bought!! NO offense to Ken/alabama above. The K R Wilson is good too!!! IMO. The vintage precision is better!! *****NOTE****** “IMO”!!!

I have not used the KR Wilson tool, but also highly recommend the Vintage Precision tool. Works every time

Stan , this is the one that came in the wood box. Sadly, it's no longer being made. However, the pullers mentioned above work just fine.

Nobody has mentioned that the two pullers referred to are basically of the same design, both being repops of the original KRW puller. There is no other puller of any design that is worth a poop on these Ford hubs.

I ordered the Vintage Precision puller. I was truly amazed at the high quality of this tool. When was the last time you unpackaged a new purchase and it far exceded your expectations? Worked as good as it looked. They really should make a king pin removal tool based on the old KR Wilson type.

Here's the one you're talking about, and the one that I chose. They show-up on eBay with some regularity.

x2!

I always say if a hub comes off with a puller other than the ones mentioned, it wasn't tight enough!

TO Marts point
AND can of "worms" now open......ANYONE with the vintage precision puller notice in the directions 125ft Lbs of torque is the MAX suggested for pulling a hub......AND Isn't 200ft Lbs the recommended torque for the installation of the drum???? Quite the difference

Kube & 38FordV8 Tomato Tomotto Right?? Only difference is Vintage Precision is basicaly "On Demand". K R Wilson most likely NOT so much!!!

I didn't notice the VP instructions stated 125 ft lbs. I'm normally fearing for my mortal life when winding it up! I'm glad there is a nut on there or the hub might take the wall out!

Nice job Wat-0!
