I started a post on this issue back in August of last year. Thanks for all of the responses. I got sidetracked with multiple restoration issues. All completed, and I want to drive the truck. Still have the driver's side axle issue. Wheel spins freely when on jack stands. Drive shaft and pass side wheel don't turn. No noise when I spin the wheel. Turning the pass side wheel does rotate the drive shaft when in gear. Before I start that project, is it safe to drive if the axle is broken? Could I have another major diff. problem? Where can I quickly get a replacement axle. Dana 44. Thanks
