Rear Ash Trays

I need to locate and mount a pair of rear ash trays for my 48 coupe, can anyone offer mounting procedure, I know a cutout is needed but that's all I know.

Here's a picture from my '41 coupe, center of ashtray is about 3 inches below bottom of window and 5-1/2 inches from door edge to center of tray. I can't see how the trim of tray is held on, right now the car is setting in my dark garage, I'll see if I can get a better picture when I get it outside in the next few days.
