Really????

Wick, the car is a labor of love! 67, that nothing. Old is when you stop leaning something new. Go for it... learn bodywork and metal finishing.

If you can find 1970's and 1980's "Rod Action" Tex Smith wrote some excellent articles on "down and dirty" metal repar. Ron Covel (https://covell.cinevee.com/) has a series of videos that will teach you more than you even knew existed. Lazze Jansson (https://www.lazzemetalshaping.com/) has that and still more as he offers hands on classes.

I would recommend you pick up a junk fender or two (Hershy?) to practice on, your first efforts will be, well first efforts. As you gain skill do the car.

Good Luck!

A few of the rust spots.

A few of the rust spots.

Have you checked out the frame? That one shot of the bumper bracket looks like that sheet metal damage was caused by a rear end collision and the bumper bracket being driven upward.

Like others have mentioned, this will either be a good learning experience or you are better off cutting your losses and buying a nicer car.

Agreed. Great advice, Karl.

Tim,
I had the body off and repaired it. It did not have an issue where you pointed out, but had some rust thru at the cross members on both side had to be replaced. Sense I believe that the fenders are 40's not 39', I think like you that it was hit in both front and rear.
Thanks
