Re: vapor lock

It might be time to put a transparent fuel line between the pump and carb to watch fuel flow in hot weather. My band sawmill uses gravity feed water to cool the blade and I see air bubbles in the line.At times they reverse direction and vary speed regardless of the flow valve setting. Most gasoline has no color now but it would be easy to add some dye.Kerosene has red dye in it now.Maybe this would give some answers on vapor lock.I remember seeing insulation on fuel lines and fiber blocks between carb and manifold over the years. Most of us have had trouble with heaters that are air bound.A frind has trouble with air bound radiators and has to vent trapped air or be cold.Vapor lock is a lot like hemmeroids ,once you get them you will be a believer.
