Re: Rare Model A Coupe ?

Is that a slant winshield cowl and doors with the back half of a coupe? Hard to tell. Are the doors wood framed or steel framed?

Re: Rare Model A Coupe ?

If it's the real deal it's rare. Or is it a creation? Looks like it been welded together at the windshield header to the roof.

But it's neet: The Old Tinbasher

Re: Rare Model A Coupe ?

Notice the slope of the front of the doors, mine are level. Could the doors be from a slant model and still fit a coupe?

Re: Rare Model A Coupe ?

different . 2 hinge doors . home made maybe ! the rare coupe is the 3 window .......

If it is, they did a good job with the roof blend.

Are Canadian mills really blue?

Re: Rare Model A Coupe ?

It appears to be well done. The last thing that would finish it off well would be to make the quarter window reveal lower across the bottom to match the slant windshield front half. A stepped latch pillar so the rear of the door fit the quarter panel flush like the slants would really top it off!

Re: Rare Model A Coupe ?

Good eye Marco! Having a slant sedan, I see now exactly what you mean about the rear edge of door and the "coupe" pillar. But, a cool looking coupe!

Yes, I agree it a very nice example of body matching and, NO, Canadian engines are the same green as the USA ones. although at one time, there was a lot of talk about some early Canadian engines that were grey!

Re: Rare Model A Coupe ?

Ok, Who said it was a bad colour choice??? :D
Just kidding, it's a neat looking ride. It reminds me of the later Model B's styling

Re: Rare Model A Coupe ?

I hate to say it, but this is one place where a faux patina paint job would be cool!
Imagine this car with finish appearing to be weatered original paint, JC Whitney seat covers, the obligatory sheet of galvanized held with roofing cement up top, and maybe 16" wires...the way most survivor A's looked in the '50's and '60's.
Yep, just bought it from Old Ezra's widow...why do you keep staring at the windshield?

Re: Rare Model A Coupe ?

Marco, thank you for the beltline info. I've always liked looking at projects like this "could have been" for lack of a better definition type cars. Bob
