much money spent for nothing,starter, flywheel will suffer.Bendix springs and screws will break.This butcher job is often done on old cars and tractors because they start hard and parts changers are not sharp enough to find problem.Their solution is to throw out the entire electric system.Just worked on a ford tractor that had a 10 amp meter installed on a 37 amp alternator.A new meter shows the alternator full charges all the time so battery is sick.The original saftey starting system was disconnected so the tractor can be started in gear now.
