Bob -
Well, as you no doubt already know, the drawings I remembered as being for a Victoria seat's ratchet were not among the drawings in the booklet I have. Yours were the ones I was remembering, but no luck among those fine drawings. Rats!!!
A couple years ago I was trying to save a driver's seat in a Vicky and found some sketches in a back issue or two of the "Victoria Bustle" newsletter. I assume you have all the back issues? I can't seem to locate the issue or issues in which I found some helpful drawings and descriptions, but if you have those back issues, take a day off and thumb through the couple hundred of them.
I also don't recall if the Vicky seats use the same ratchet arrangement as the A-400. If so, there's a better chance of finding a good drawing by Conibear, who did line drawings of just about every A-400 component. Before I spend a couple hours going through what back issues of I have of the A-400 newsletters and the Conibear drawings, please advise if the ratcheting system is the same between the two body styles. I assume they are, or are at least very similar.
