Rare winter pics with A

Last Tuesday night was our Clubs AGM and our dues were due so it was a "Must Attend". When dad called to see if I was going I said sure! Then he asked "which car are we taking? Mine or yours?" They were calling for snow to start around eight pm, and I just put new tires on my modern P/u so I volunteered to drive in to the meet. But I through in: "If you want and adventure we can take the coupe!" Dad had lent me a new Zenith to try and diagnose a fuel starvation issue, it was bolted on but as yet, untested. So I thought what the heck. The lights are good, just installed signals are working better and the wiper is a wiping, so off we went.
The road there was bare and only a few flurries, and although I have no heater, the coupe warms up (with two bodies in it), pretty quick.
Now the trip home around 9pm was a bit of a challenge.

It was like driving a submarine through a port hole. The snow was the typical heavy wet crap and it stuck to the unwiped area of the windscreen like sh*t to a blanket. I stopped a couple tines to clear it off. When we crossed the river into a warmer belt of air ahead of the front the windshield shed the snow and immediatley fogged up bad.
Then the starboard low beam took a nap. and it was getting hard to see at all.

Short story, long we made it home and all is right again, but it was what we intended: Fun!

As I understand it, Peter, you are correct about the "miracle of global warming". It is increased ocean temperatures that lead to the extra dumping of moisture on the continent. That is my understanding, shallow tho it may be.

Tonights temp. to drop to 11 degree's in Ga. no moisture for the past two days ...I guess i'll never understand this "miracle of global warming".
