Rain, rain go away

Well Jeff, it's propably safe to say that engine will not be shown at Hershey, PA tomorrow. I called Cecil this morning about coming over to Carpenters tent to help sell tickets and he informed me he was on the way home to WV with the engine and trailer in tow. So I said, "well I guess you won't need me at Carpenters tent then". Cecil said, "no we don't need you now, but you can go over and stand under Carpenters tent to get out of the rain".

Got in the modern car Tuesday morning ....dead battery....yanked the old one out bought a new one and was on the road exactly 1 hour later. Tuesday was great at Hershey so was Wednesday. made it to about 2 PM on Thursday...then the skies opened up. Rained like crazy all night .....Left the Hotel @9:30 today, home by 12:30.
Disappointed ..yes, but it was my 40th year @ Hershey and when I left the Hotel I put down my deposit for next year...hey some things never change and sometimes it rains.
