Raditor/grille shell

i'm doing a 29 roadster 4cyl banger style so mixing and matching parts are ok with me. my question the raditor i'm using has a tang radiator neck and cap. can i use any grille shell from 28-31. i'll also need a hood top only to fit what ever grille shell i use to mate back to the 29 body. any ideas? thanks
 
Since you have a tang radiator, I would guess it to be 30-31, which i believe is taller than the 28-29. I am not sure of width or depth. I would stick with the same year shroud. Since the body is 29 and the radiator is probably taller, the hood will run uphill toward the radiator. you may want rad and shroud to be 28 29.
 
thanks....i thought i might have to go with a 28-29 rad (after just spending $450 get the rad. recored)
 
Any reason why you would not wnt to consider going with one of the Champion alloy radiators being offered on eBay? They are really decent cooling rads., and can be painted black to hide the metal. Best of all, they are priced at just about ½ of what you paid for the recore.
 
thanks brent, i looked them up and no rads for 28-29 ,,,,,Ts and 32 but no As.
 
Actually there are a couple on there right now for $249 Buy-it-Now, ...and a couple of Griffin Radiators (the best out ther IMO) in the range for what you paid to have yours recored. I own one of the 28/29 units, so I know they make them.
