Radiator woes

What do you expect Brassworks to say? " Send it back to us we will repair it and sent it back to you no charge at all." Ain't going to happen! If you send it to them assuming they will take it back to "fix their problem" you will have to pay shipping both ways. If you don't believe me just do a search and you will see others have been told just that. If you bend it (bending the tube is even in the service bulletins) and the solder breaks as you say, it will most likely still be cheaper to bring it to a radiator shop then to pay shipping both ways.

Dog:cool: here,
It's an easy fix, Bill says the tube bends safely, he's bent them before, havent bent them myself, I have NO thumbs!:D Buster T.

Hey Don !

Did you install all three of those Brassworks radiators in the car in your Avatar? No offense, just kidding around,,,,,,,,,,,,

Might be a little safer if you find someone who has bent a Brassworks tube.Could be that they use a hard metal that might break or cause the solder joint to break.Has anyone here bent one with no problem?

Don Turley you do beautiful work !

I called Brattons today and a fellow there told me to go ahead and bend the tube and if it broke, it would be warranteed. I bent it the way someone here described and all went just fine.I wasn't worried about bending it, just whether it would be warranteed if it broke while being bent.I am an ORF and the price of a new radiator was a big expenditure for me at this time.

Thank you to all of you who offerred help and advice to me.

Yesterday I received a call from Lee at Brassworks. He was very helpful and I told him I had already bent the tube. I appreciate his call.
