Radiator Stone Guard

Since this thread is over a year old and since were on the topic of anus's today a stone guard is BUTT UGLY no matter what color it is

A fellow club member has made a stone guard out of steel mesh which sits between the radiator and its shell. Painted matt black, it is hard to distinguish from a naked radiator from more than ten feet away.
My MGB has a similar set-up, but that is under the hood and invisible unless I run you over.
I have put the like on my Model A want list that I will get to after finishing this year's must list. The Chevy will get one also so that it does not feel left out.

As a kid in the late fifties and sixties, I would not allow myself to like chrome (unless it was on an engine) We nosed em' and decked em' as fast as we got them. Chrome sucked! Now I find myself sorta liking what it can do for a plain Jane automobile. I like stone guards just like I liked the chrome lifting rings, Ivalite spotlight, hatch cover hardware, and windshield stanchions etc on a mahogany speedboat. It looks clean and cool. You can appreciate the mechanicalness of it all.
