Radiator question.

I have a 41 1/2 ton that came to me with a serviceable radiator but it didn't have the channel that held the light wires. I purchased a very good one, with the channel attached and started installing in the truck. That's when I found out that even though it mounted exactly the same, it had 1.5 inch outlets and upon closer inspection, it was only 3 cores wide instead of 4. What do I have?

Three core can be as good or better at cooling that a 4 core, depending on the size of the tubes and the spacing.. Look a the tubes and see if they are larger than the 4 core and the spacing is farther apart..
