Radiator Options

Took my old radiator to a shop in NJ yesterday. He took a long look at it and told me he wouldn't attempt to rod or boil it out or whatever that process is, given it's age and the shape it's in.

He quoted me a price of $800 to re-core it and also showed me some of his finished work.

Has anyone purchased this radiator ($830) from Tam's?

Any opinion on these 2 options will be appreciated.

Thanks

For me....NOPE ! I have ordered two of the best and most expensive radiators that Snyders sells, and I would do it again.

It's your money, and your car - do as you please.

I bought one from Brassworks that is pressurized to 4 lbs., the cap is under the hood. The original water hole is retained on the top but has no connection to the coolant reservoir. Under the stock neck in the radiator is a small tank, fill it up and the motometer will still work. The stock radiator did not leak it just did not cool anymore, to old and tired like me .The new radiator fit perfect and though is thicker looks the same with the hood closed. Made to order ,Model As 9-11 weeks.Add $40-$90+ for shipping . https://www.thebrassworks.net/colle...adiator 10FPI Radiator,$858.00,-Order details
