Radiator mounting springs

When installing the radiator to the front cross member, do the springs that go over the bolts go below the radiator mounting flange or above the radiator mounting flange?

When I took them off the springs were above the mounting flange. If memory serves me right, I believe they should be on the bottom of the flange.

It has been a long time since I have removed and replaced a radiator in a Model A. Also the older I get the more often my memory fails me.

Ed, also if I remember correctly, I think they go above the mounting flange just like you found them. But old memory may be wrong and I am sure someone on the Barn will give you the scoop.
 
Above. Sequence with bolt in place is frame, rubber pad, radiator flange, spring, nut, cotter pin.

Thanks everyone. After thinking about it for a while I realized they have to go on top of the bracket. Otherwise the radiator sits too high for the hood to latch properly.
